PENGARUH PRAKTEK KERJA LAPANGAN (PKL) TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI SISWA JURUSAN TEKNIK PEMESINAN DI SMK PASUNDAN 2 BANDUNG

Abstrak

Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) memiliki peran yang vital dalam pendidikan vokasi di SMK, terutama bagi siswa jurusan Teknik Pemesinan di SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung. PKL bukan hanya sebuah kewajiban kurikulum, tetapi juga merupakan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengalami dunia industri secara langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak PKL terhadap kemajuan kompetensi siswa Teknik Pemesinan melalui metode observasi langsung, uji kompetensi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PKL berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan teknis dan keterampilan praktis siswa. Siswa melaporkan pengalaman belajar yang berharga dan peningkatan dalam pemahaman tentang industri serta keterampilan interaksi sosial. Guru pembimbing juga mengakui perubahan positif dalam siswa selama PKL.

Field Work Practice (PKL) has a vital role in vocational education in SMK, especially for students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung. PKL is not only a curriculum obligation, but also an opportunity for students to experience the industrial world directly. This study aims to explore the impact of PKL on the progress of Mechanical Engineering students' competencies through direct observation, competency test, and interview methods. The results showed that PKL significantly contributed to the improvement of students' technical abilities and practical skills. Students reported valuable learning experiences and improvements in understanding of the industry as well as social interaction skills. Supervising teachers also recognized positive changes in students during the PKL.
