RELEVANSI PEMBELAJARAN SKI TERHADAP KEHIDUPAN GENERASI MILENIAL

Abstrak

Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam/SKI) learning plays an important role in shaping students’ character and morality, especially for the millennial generation living in the digital and globalization era. However, technological developments and changes in modern lifestyles have caused students’ interest in history learning, including SKI, to decline. This article aims to analyze the relevance of SKI learning to the lives of the millennial generation and to identify the values contained in SKI that can be applied in daily life. The method used in this article is a literature study by reviewing various scientific sources related to SKI learning and the characteristics of the millennial generation. The results of the discussion show that SKI learning has strong relevance to the lives of millennials because it contains religious values, tolerance, leadership, hard work, scientific spirit, and exemplary values from Islamic figures. These values can serve as guidelines for young people in facing moral and social challenges in the digital era. In addition, SKI learning needs to be developed through the use of digital media, interactive learning methods, and contextual approaches to make it more interesting and suitable for the characteristics of the millennial generation. Therefore, SKI learning functions not only as a medium for delivering Islamic historical knowledge but also as a means of shaping a religious, morally upright, and adaptive young generation in facing the development of modern times.
