The objective of this study is to assess the effects of implementing role-playing techniques within group guidance sessions at SMAN 1 Kedamean Gresik on the self-esteem levels of the students. The research sample was class X students of SMAN 1 KEDAMEAN GRESIK. Six children belonged to the low self-esteem group, Based on pre-test data, researchers typically arrange the process of sampling. In this study, purposive sampling was employed to choose the sample. The research methodology is quantitative and utilizes a one-group pre-test/post-test design. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and measurement scales. For data analysis, the Wilcoxon non-parametric statistical test was applied using SPSS software. Based on calculations and data. The analysis reveals that there are noticeable differences in the self-esteem scores of students before and after participating in role-playing activities during group tutoring sessions. This indicates that the hypothesis is validated, suggesting that the use of role-playing techniques in group counseling effectively enhances the self-esteem of class X students at SMAN 1 KEDAMEAN GRESIK.
