PENGARUH LOCUS OF CONTROL INTERNAL TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN GEN Z DI PT.X

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh locus of control internal terhadap kinerja karyawan Gen Z di PT. X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain regresi linier sederhana. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 133 karyawan Gen Z yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kinerja karyawan berdasarkan Griffin et al. (2007) dan skala locus of control internal dari Levenson (1973), yang keduanya telah memenuhi uji reliabilitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa locus of control internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (β = 0,634; p < 0,01). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi locus of control internal, maka semakin tinggi pula kinerja karyawan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keyakinan individu terhadap kendali diri berperan penting dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab dan performa kerja, khususnya pada karyawan Gen Z.
This study aims to examine the effect of internal locus of control on the performance of Generation Z employees at PT. X. This research used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The sample consisted of 133 Generation Z employees selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were the employee performance scale based on Griffin et al. (2007) and the internal locus of control scale developed by Levenson (1973), both of which met reliability standards. The results showed that internal locus of control has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.634; p < 0.01). This indicates that higher internal locus of control is associated with higher employee performance. These findings suggest that individuals’ belief in personal control plays an important role in enhancing responsibility and work performance, particularly among Generation Z employees.
