PERILAKU INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE PADA PELAKU KEKERASAN DALAM HUBUNGAN: DILIHAT DARI ADULT ATTACHMENT STYLE DAN DARK TRIAD PERSONALITY

Abstrak

Perilaku kekerasan terhadap pasangan semakin banyak terjadi baik itu dalam hubungan berpacaran maupun pernikahan. Perilaku kekerasan diperkirakan dapat muncul pada individu ketika mereka memiliki bentuk attachment dan tipe kepribadian dark triad, yang bisa mempengaruhi cara individu berinteraksi dengan pasangan saat terjadi konflik. Adult attachment style adalah persepsi dan pengalaman yang dimiliki individu saat menjalin hubungan romantis dengan pasangan. Dark Triad Personality adalah bentuk kepribadian yang terdiri dari machiavelli, narsistik, dan psikopati. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan antara adult attachment style dan dark triad personality pada pelaku kekerasan dalam hubungan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 130 orang dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 20-40 tahun, pernah melakukan tindak kekerasan terhadap pasangan baik secara verbal, fisik, psikis, dan seksual. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan dua alat ukur, yaitu Relationship Scale Questionaire dikembangkan oleh Griffin & Bartolomew dan The Short Dark Triad yang dikembangkan oleh Jones & Paulhus. Hasil analisa dengan Pearson Product Moment menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara adult attachment style dengan dark triad personality, dengan nilai r = 0.193, dan p = 0.028 < 0.05. Dimana semakin tinggi Adult attachment style yang dimiliki seseorang maka semakin tinggi Dark Triad Personality. Maka dari itu, penting untuk memahami keterkaitan antara Adult attachment style dan dark triad personality pada perilaku kekerasan dalam hubungan. Dari dimensi Adult Attachment Style didapatkan hanya preoccupied (anxious) style yang berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan Dark Triad Personality. Hasil penelitian ini merinci bahwa untuk mengatasi kekerasan dalam hubungan, perlu dikembangkan pendekatan intervensi yang mempertimbangkan aspek psikologis individu, khususnya Adult Attachment Style dan Dark Triad Personality.

Violent behavior towards a partner is increasingly occurring in both dating and marital relationships. Violent behavior is thought to arise in individuals when they have a form of attachment and a dark triad personality type, which can affect the way individuals interact with their partners when conflict occurs. Adult attachment style is the perceptions and experiences that individuals have while in a romantic relationship with a partner. Dark Triad Personality is a form of personality that consists of Machiavelli, narcissism, and psychopathy. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between adult attachment style and dark triad personality in relationship abusers. This study involved 130 early adults with an age range of 20-40 years, who had committed acts of violence against their partners either verbally, physically, psychologically, and sexually. In this study, two measuring instruments were used, namely the Relationship Scale Questionaire developed by Griffin & Bartholomew and The Short Dark Triad developed by Jones & Paulhus. The results of the analysis with Pearson Product Moment found that there was a significant positive relationship between adult attachment style and dark triad personality, with a value of r = 0.193, and p = 0.028 <0.05. Where the higher the Adult attachment style a person has, the higher the Dark Triad Personality. Therefore, it is important to understand the relationship between Adult attachment style and dark triad personality on violent behavior in relationships. From the Adult Attachment Style dimensions, it was found that only the preoccupied (anxious) style was positively and significantly related to the Dark Triad Personality. The results of this study detail that to address violence in relationships, it is necessary to develop an intervention approach that considers the psychological aspects of individuals, specifically the Adult Attachment Style and Dark Triad Personality.
