Abstrak

^{Abstract: This research aims to explain that the Hadith of the Prophet SAW has authority in establishing the second law after the Al-Qur'an which must be followed even though this law is not yet contained in the Al-Qur'an. This research uses a descriptive analysis method which includes an analysis of the meaning of the problem of the authority of the Hadith of the Prophet SAW. Thus, this research produces a critical view regarding the understanding of the authority of the Hadith of the Prophet SAW in establishing laws that are not contained in the Al-Qur'an. Based on the results of research, researchers found that there are many Hadiths of the Prophet SAW which stipulate laws that have not been stipulated in the Qur'an, including Hadiths regarding the determination that it is haram to gather two sisters (between the wife and her aunt), the law of shuf'ah, the law of stoning. female adulterers who are still virgins, the law regarding washing the top of their shoes during ablution, the law regarding the size of zakat fitrah, and the law regarding inheritance rights for children, and so on.}
