Abstrak

This study aims to examine the urgency of applying halal principles in the coconut milk industry, taking into account the increasing demand of Muslim consumers for halal products. The methods used include secondary data analysis from various related sources, as well as primary surveys on coconut milk industry players. The findings reveal that adherence to halal principles is a crucial factor in gaining the trust of Muslim consumers. Halal certification is proven to increase marketing opportunities and provide a competitive advantage for producers. In conclusion, the coconut milk industry needs to adopt halal practices thoroughly, from raw material selection to packaging, to meet market demands and ensure product safety for Muslim consumers. This is an important prerequisite for business sustainability in the growing halal food industry.
