The Malacca Strait is a vital maritime route for international trade but also vulnerable to various security threats. In this context, Indonesian maritime diplomacy plays a strategic role in building maritime security in the region. This research aims to analyze Indonesian maritime diplomacy policies in building maritime security in the Malacca Strait, focusing on regional cooperation, bilateral agreements, maritime capabilities, and infrastructure development. This research employs policy analysis method with a qualitative literature review approach. Data are obtained from various primary and secondary sources, including policy documents, international agreements, and related literature. The analysis indicates that Indonesia has demonstrated strong commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation, enhancing military capabilities and maritime infrastructure, and building effective coalitions with neighboring countries and regional partners. These measures aim to improve surveillance, law enforcement, and intelligence exchange, which are crucial foundations for maintaining maritime security in the Malacca Strait. Thus, Indonesian maritime diplomacy plays a crucial role in ensuring security and stability in the Malacca Strait. For the future, enhancing multilateral cooperation and sustainable investment in maritime infrastructure should be considered to sustain these efforts.
