PENCANANGAN KAMPUNG MODERASI: UPAYA PENGUATAN NILAI MODERASI BERAGAMA BAGI WARGA DESA BITING, KEC. ELAR, KAB MANGGARAI TIMUR, NTT

Abstrak

Tulisan ini mengungkap urgensi pencanangan Kampung Moderasi beragama bagi penguatan konsep dan gerakan moderasi beragama. Penelitian dilakukan pada warga Desa Biting Kecaamtan Elar Kabupaten Manggarai Timur. Data-data diperoleh melalui focus group discussion (FGD) dan wawancara. Penelitian berfokus pada tiga pertanyaan pokok, yaitu bagaimana dinamika beragama masyarakat Desa Biting, bagaimana bentuk penguatan konsep dan gerakan moderasi beragama bagi masyarakat Desa Biting, dan apa urgensi pencanangan Kampung Moderasi bagi masyarakat Desa Biting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, ada perbedaan iklim keberagamaan sebelum dan sesudah salah satu warga berafiliasi dengan satu jaringan organisasi transnasional Jemaah Islamiyah. Kedua, upaya penguatan moderasi beragama dilakukan melalui dialog keagamaan dalam bentuk seminar dan diskusi serta pencanangan Kampung Moderasi. Ketiga, urgensi pencanangan Kampung Moderasi adalah agar meminimalisir kemungkinan bertumbuhnya ideologi ekstrem yang melawan ideologi negara yang berdasar pada Pancasila pada masyarakat multireligius dan multietnik.

This article reveals the urgency of declaring “Moderation Village (Kampung Moderasi) to strengthen the concept and movement of religious moderation. The research was conducted on residents of Biting Village, Elar District, East Manggarai Regency. Data was obtained through focus group discussions (FGD) and interviews. The research focuses on three main questions, 1) what are the religious dynamics of the Biting Village, what are the forms of strengthening the concept and movement of religious moderation for the Biting Village, and what is the urgency of declaring a Moderation Village for the Biting Village. The research results show that first, there are differences in the religious atmosfer before and after one of the residents affiliated with the transnational organization Jemaah Islamiyah network. Second, efforts to strengthen religious moderation are carried out through religious dialogue in the form of seminars and discussions as well as the launch of Moderation Villages. Third, the urgency of declaring a Moderation Village is to minimize the possibility of the growth of extreme ideologies that oppose the state ideology based on Pancasila in a multi-religious and multi-ethnic society.
