Abstrak

Kemampuan public speaking merupakan keterampilan esensial bagi calon guru di era pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji urgensi dan strategi integrasi keterampilan tersebut dalam kurikulum pendidikan guru. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan studi pustaka, data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa public speaking penting dalam penyampaian materi dan membangun hubungan pedagogis. Integrasi dapat dilakukan melalui mata kuliah khusus, micro teaching, dan komunitas praktik. LPTK disarankan mengembangkan pelatihan komunikasi secara sistematis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi calon guru.

Public speaking skills are essential skills for prospective teachers in the 21st century education era. This research aims to examine the urgency and strategies for integrating these skills in the teacher education curriculum. With a qualitative approach and literature study, data is obtained from various literature sources. The results of the study show that public speaking is important in delivering material and building pedagogical relationships. Integration can be done through specialized courses, micro teaching, and community of practice. LPTK is recommended to develop communication training systematically to improve the competence of prospective teachers.
