The rapid development of digital technology presents both opportunities and challenges for sharia-based cooperatives (koperasi syariah). This paper examines the potential for digital transformation to enhance operational efficiency, expand service reach, and strengthen adherence to Islamic principles through innovation in financial technology, e-banking, crowdfunding, and information systems. The study highlights that digitalization can improve transparency, accountability, and financial inclusion, thereby positioning koperasi syariah as a vital component of inclusive Islamic finance. However, significant obstacles remain, including limited digital infrastructure, low digital literacy among members, regulatory uncertainties, and a shortage of skilled human resources. Addressing these issues requires supportive policies from regulators such as KNEKS and DSN-MUI, including infrastructure development, literacy programs, and harmonized regulations aligned with Islamic principles. Overcoming these challenges will enable koperasi syariah to fully leverage technological innovations while maintaining compliance with sharia law. Ultimately, digital transformation offers the potential for koperasi syariah to become a main pillar of Islamic economic development, fostering social justice and economic empowerment across communities. This research emphasizes the importance of strategic policies and capacity building in ensuring that koperasi syariah remains relevant and competitive in the digital age.
