Abstrak

This study examines the role of Islamic moral education (akhlak) as a foundation for strengthening reli-gious moderation among the younger generation. Amid rapid globalization and digitalization, young people face challenges including exposure to extremist ideologies, social polarization, and religious identi-ty crises that threaten tolerance and social harmony. Employing a library research approach with descrip-tive-qualitative analysis, this study explores the correlation between the values of akhlakul karimah particularly tasamuh (tolerance), 'adl (justice), and tawazun (balance) and the formation of moderate religious attitudes. The findings indicate that authentic internalization of Islamic morality functions as self-filtering against intolerant narratives while simultaneously building a solid wasathiyah conscious-ness. This study recommends revitalizing the Islamic moral education curriculum, optimizing digital me-dia as a medium for disseminating moderation values, and fostering synergy among family, school, and society in shaping a younger generation that is moderate, inclusive, and civilized in character.
