YESUS BUKAN JALAN-JALAN, TETAPI JALAN KEBENARAN MENUJU KESELAMATAN

Abstrak

Yohanes 7:25-36 “Pertantangan Tentang Asal Yesus” mencatat percakapan dan perdebatan di antara orang-orang pada masa itu tentang identitas Yesus Kristus selama perayaan Pesta Pondok Daun. Bahwa, terdapat kebingungan dan perdebatan di antara orang-orang tentang apakah Yesus adalah Mesias yang dijanjikan. Beberapa orang mempertanyakan asal-usul-Nya karena asumsi bahwa Mesias tidak akan berasal dari Galilea. Sementara itu, orang-orang memiliki pandangan yang beragam tentang identitas dan asal-usul Yesus. Oleh sebab itu, tulisan ini hendak menberikan penjelasan serta menggali sebuah makna teologis dari keraguan serta sikap dari orang-orang pada zaman Yesus yang belum mempunyai keyakinan bahwa Yesus adalah Mesias serta Jurus Selamat yang diutus oleh Bapa.Tujuan tulisan ini memberikan pejelasan bahwa Yesus merupakan jawaban atas keraguan orang-orang pada masa itu, namun lebih pada keraguan orang Kristen zaman ini yang hingga saat ini masih dan terus bertanya akan iman mereka kepada Kristus. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini yakni metode eksegese yang meliputi aspek sejarah, linguistik, teologi serta literer yang mana dapat membantu pembaca untuk memahami serta mendapatkan makna teologis dibalik teks Yoh 7:25-36. Bahwa kesimpulan dari tulisan ini hendak mengatakan Yesus merupakan Mesias yang hidup serta Ia adalah jalan kebenaran menuju keselamatan.

John 7:25-36 “Controversy abaout tha origins of Jesus” records conversations and debates among the people of that time about the identity of Jesus Christ during the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. That, there was confusion and debate among people about whether Jesus was the promised Messiah. Some questioned His origins because of the assumption that the Messiah would not come from Galilee. Meanwhile, people have varying views about Jesus' identity and origins. Therefore, this article wants to provide an explanation and explore the theological meaning of the doubts and attitudes of people at the time of Jesus who did not yet have the belief that Jesus was the Messiah and Savior sent by the Father. The aim of this article is to provide an explanation that Jesus is the answer to the doubts of people at that time, but more so to the doubts of Christians today who to this day are still and continue to question their faith in Christ. The method used in this paper is the exegesis method which includes historical, linguistic, theological and literary aspects which can help readers to understand and obtain the theological meaning behind the text John 7:25-36. The conclusion of this article is to say that Jesus is the living messiah and He is the true way to salvation.
