PEMBELAJARAN TRANSFORMATIF UNTUK GENERASI Z: DINAMIKA PENDIDIKAN DI ERA DIGITAL

Abstrak

Generasi Z, yang lahir antara 1995-2012, tumbuh dalam era digital yang ditandai oleh teknologi dan internet. Mereka memiliki karakteristik khas, seperti melek teknologi, kreativitas, dan keterbukaan terhadap perbedaan. Meskipun melek teknologi, Generasi Z menghadapi tantangan emosional seperti FOMO, kecanduan media sosial, dan tingkat stres tinggi. Dalam konteks pendidikan, metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, seperti e-learning, muncul sebagai alternatif, tetapi pembelajaran tatap muka tetap dominan, terutama di Indonesia. Penggunaan teknologi dan akses mudah terhadap informasi memengaruhi cara Generasi Z belajar dan berinteraksi. Meskipun demikian, pembelajaran transformatif menjadi pendekatan yang relevan untuk mengatasi karakteristik mereka. Penelitian ini menyoroti peran krusial guru dalam implementasi pembelajaran transformatif, dengan memahami kebutuhan siswa dan keterampilan digital. Dengan merinci konsep Norbert M. Seel dan teori transformatif Mezirow, penelitian ini memberikan dasar untuk merancang metode pembelajaran sesuai dengan karakteristik Generasi Z. Dengan pemahaman dinamika pendidikan di era digital, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam memberikan pendidikan optimal bagi Generasi Z.

Generation Z, born between 1995-2012, grew up in a digital age marked by technology and the internet. They have distinctive characteristics, such as technological literacy, creativity, and openness to differences. Despite being tech-savvy, Generation Z faces emotional challenges such as FOMO, social media addiction, and high stress levels. In the context of education, technology-based learning methods, such as e-learning, are emerging as alternatives, but face-to-face learning remains dominant, especially in Indonesia. The use of technology and easy access to information affect the way Generation Z learns and interacts. Nonetheless, transformative learning becomes a relevant approach to address their characteristics. This research highlights the crucial role teachers play in the implementation of transformative learning, by understanding student needs and digital skills. By detailing Norbert M.
