Analisis Pembelajaran Fisika Berbasis Etno-STEM Melalui Permainan Tradisional Gasing Batak

Abstrak

This research aims to analyze the Ethno-STEM based physics learning proces through the traditional game Gasing Batak and analyze the role of the Ethno-STEM based learning approach in developing students’ conceptual understanding of physics lessons. This research is quantitative research using quasi-experimental methods. The design of this research is a control group pretest-posttest design. In this research, 2 classes were used, namely: control class and experimental class. The control class will use a conventional learning model and the experimental class will use the Ethno-STEM method through the traditional game of Gasing Batak. This research was conducted at Assisi Siantar Private High School in the odd semester of 2023/2024. This research focuses on class XI on Angular Momentum material. The research instruments used in this research were tests in the form of descriptions and questionnaires. Test instruments are used as pretest and posstest, while questionnaires are given after the learning process is complete. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that the t_count value was 3.304 with a significance value of 0.001. It was found that t_count > t_table was 3.304 > 1.7, so that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected and the influence given was 30.08%. referring to the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Ethno-STEM based learning approach through the traditional game Gasing Batak has a positive influence on the physics learning process so that it can increase students understanding of concepts.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses pembelajaran fisika berbasis Etno-STEM melalui permainan tradisional gasing batak serta menganalisis peran pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis Etno-STEM dalam mengembangkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik tentang pelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment. Desain dari penelitian ini adalah control group pretest-posttest design. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan2 kelas yaitu: kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kelas kontrol akan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dan pada kelas eksperimen akan menggunakan metode Etno-STEM melalui permainan tradisional gasing batak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Swasta Assisi Siantar pada semester ganjil T.A 2023/2024. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kelas XI pada materi Momentum Sudut. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes berbentuk uraian dan kuesioner. Instrumen test digunakan menjadi pretest dan posttest, sementara kuesioner diberikan setelah proses pembelajaran selesai. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa nilai  sebesar 3,304 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001. Diperoleh bahwa yaitu 3,304 > 1,7, sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak dan pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar 30,08%. Mengacu pada hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis Etno-STEM melalui permainan tradisional gasing batak memberikan pengaruh positif dalam proses pembelajaran fisika sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.
