Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh absorptive capacity (kapasitas menyerap pengetahuan) dan innovation capacity (kapasitas inovasi) terhadap business performance (kinerja bisnis) UMKM bakso di Kota Bekasi. UMKM memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perekonomian Indonesia, khususnya sektor kuliner yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap penciptaan lapangan kerja dan produk domestik bruto (PDB). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 100 pelaku UMKM bakso yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampel acak. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa absorptive capacity, yang mencakup kemampuan untuk mengenali, menyerap, dan mengaplikasikan pengetahuan eksternal, memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap inovasi dan business performance. Innovation capacity, yang melibatkan pengembangan produk dan proses baru, juga berperan penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan efisiensi operasional UMKM. Business performance diukur melalui indikator pertumbuhan jumlah pelanggan, diversifikasi produk, dan efisiensi operasional. Kesimpulannya, penguatan absorptive capacity dan innovation capacity dapat meningkatkan business performance secara signifikan, memberikan keunggulan kompetitif, dan mendorong keberlanjutan usaha UMKM bakso di tengah persaingan pasar yang semakin ketat. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pelaku UMKM untuk terus berinovasi dan mengembangkan kapasitas internal mereka guna menghadapi dinamika pasar.

This study aims to analyze the influence of absorption capacity and innovation capacity on business performance in meatball MSMEs in Bekasi City. MSMEs have an important role in supporting the Indonesian economy, especially in the culinary sector, which makes a substantial contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) and employment creation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 100 meatball MSME actors taken using random sampling techniques. The results of the analysis show that absorptive capacity, which includes the ability to recognize, absorb, and apply external knowledge, has a positive influence on innovation and business performance.  Innovation capacity, which involves the development of new products and processes, also crucial to boosting MSMEs’ operational effectiveness and competitiveness. Business performance is assessed through indicators of customer growth, product diversification, and operational efficiency. In conclusion, strengthening absorptive capacity and innovation capacity can significantly improve business performance, provide meatball MSME businesses a competitive edge, and promote their sustainability in the midst of escalating market competition. The practical implications of this study encourage MSME actors to keep innovating and building their internal capacity to deal with market dynamics.
