The Village Credit Institution is an economic organization for the Pakraman village which was established from krama for the benefit of karma. Credit activities are one of the activities that occur in financial institutions, therefore in managing credit the LPD must do it carefully. From this credit activity, you get a profit in the form of loan or credit interest income in the amount of the agreed percentage. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the 5C principles and internal control systems on the effectiveness of granting credit. This research was conducted at LPD in Kuta District. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with primary data obtained from questionnaire data as measured by a Likert scale. The population of this research is LPD employees in North Kuta District. The sample determination method used was purposive sampling and 64 respondents were taken as samples. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS 26 assisted data presentation. Based on the research results, it is known that the application of the 5C principles has a positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of lending and the internal control system has a positive influence on the effectiveness of lending. Suggestions that can be given by research by researchers are to routinely provide training to employees in applying the 5C principles, always supervise employees in providing credit and provide warnings or sanctions if fraud is found in granting credit.
